Medical Coding
This course provides the fundamentals of medical coding and dissects real-world medical cases and charts to extract the most relevant information. Students are taught to translate patient care into Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases – Edition 10 (ICD-10) codes. Students will understand that their primary responsibility is to ensure that the medical services provided are accurately coded.
Completion of this course prepares you to sit for the American Association of Professional Coders Exam (AAPC).
