Elizabeth

Dr. Elizabeth Penez-Manag

President & Instructor

Dr. Elizabeth Manag is the President of AE Career Institute, Inc. She is a Certified American Heart Association and American Red Cross trainer. She is also one of the instructors of Phlebotomy and Medical Assisting courses. Dr. Manag is compassionate about all her students individual success as her goal is to “develop their personal, social and people skills and train them to the best of their abilities so that they are prepared and competitive in their chosen career”. Dr. Manag has extensive experience in the healthcare field as a doctor, several years as a medical administrator, and even operated a pharmaceutical company. She is one of our most knowledgeable and caring instructors and has led many students to jumpstart their careers with an edge.

Maan Canlas

CFO

Maan Canlas is one of the Co-Founders of AE Career Institute. She has over 30 years of experience as a health care provider and educator. One of the biggest lessons she learned in her career that has become her philosophy in life is “to appreciate and always be grateful to all experiences”. Her vision for students at AE is to be the healthcare leaders of the next generation. One that is well equipped with “faith, dedication, confidence and competency so that they are able to address the challenges of our rapidly and culturally diverse environment”.​

Mei Felix

Head of Nursing

Mei Felix’s favorite part about nursing is that it “is a very rewarding and dynamic profession that can impact so many lives”. Mrs. Felix is the head nurse and also one of our dedicated instructors. With over 27 years in medical surgical nursing, 13 of those were dedicated to education. She currently is pursuing her doctorate in education to fulfill her goals as an health care educator. With her professional experience, knowledge, and personal qualities, Mrs. Felix main objective it to provide the best nursing care and be able to teach others how to do the same. ​

jay de la roca

Jay de La Roca

Marketing Director

With more than 15 years in the healthcare field, Jay first began his career as an LVN while working as a CNA. He found his passion working at a hospice because that was where “you learn what quality of life means rather than quantity of life”. Working at a hospice is one of the largest acts of good that a person can be apart of because it allows one to be apart of something bigger than themselves, according to Jay. He also worked as a visiting nurse, leading him to become an operations manager, and eventually he moved to become the Administrator.

Denise Hackett

Instructor

Denise is a Licensed Vocational Nurse with over a decade of dedicated experience in the healthcare field. Her energy, motivation, and unwavering compassion are the driving forces behind her patient-centered approach, particularly in geriatric care. She is committed to delivering top-tier patient care, bringing extensive experience as a C.N.A. and R.N.A. instructor. Her true passion lies in imparting the qualities and skills necessary for individuals to excel as Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs).
